There might be a situation where the annual ticket you paid for is not with you (either you sent it for a changeover, you lost it and are waiting on a duplicate, it is faulty or you simply forgot it at home).
Interim Travel Refunds
In the interim, so you are not out of pocket, purchase a National Rail 1 or 7-Day travelcard from your local station. Please ensure you keep both the white paper receipt & the physical ticket.
Tickets that cannot be refunded:
Pink London underground receipts
Oyster Pre-pay/ PAYG
Contactless Card Payments
Contactless or PAYG credit cannot be reimbursed in any circumstances, so please be careful to ensure your interim travel is eligible to avoid disappointment.
Please ensure you keep the actual tickets as receipts or bank statements cannot be accepted for refund, only the physical tickets can be refunded. The best way to do this is to show the ticket to station staff rather than use the barriers as this will prevent the ticket from being swallowed by the machine.
Please note that requests for refunds must be received within 28 days of the date of purchase. Once
received, refunds can take 30 days to be processed.
